From the Vice Provost and Dean - August 2018

August 2018

As the summer winds down, we are planning for new and returning Huskies to campus in late September.
Both students and the public are always inspired by the Reading Room in Suzzallo, where we will be hosting our wildly popular Tri-wizard Tournament as part of Dawg Daze, a partnership with First-Year Programs to welcome new students.
We have been busy honing our strategies for the future and how we can continue to serve the wide array of curious minds – both on campus and remotely. Guided by our triennial surveys which gather input from students, faculty and staff, we continue to provide welcoming environments, resources and expert staff to help students succeed at all of our Libraries – from Friday Harbor to Tacoma, from Bothell to Health Sciences.
Finally, August is the month we welcome Libraries Alumni to show our appreciation for their generosity to the Libraries. It’s no secret that we have stellar staff: current, former and retired. And who knows what future Libraries staff will be on our campus this fall!
