Why can't Libraries extend hours? UW Libraries workforce was significantly reduced during the pandemic and while we continue to hire and train for open positions, particularly our student workforce, current hours reflect the most sustainable schedule at this time based on Library usage data and available staff.  As staffing levels stabilize over time, we expect to expand hours in the fall.
