UW Graduate Student Accounts and Privileges

Library Card

Use your Husky Card to check out items from any UW Library, Summit, or Interlibrary Loan

    • If the academic quarter of enrollment has already begun, your library account should be automatically activated 1-2 business days after you enroll.
    • If the academic quarter of enrollment has not yet begun, your library account may not activate until about 1 week prior to the quarter.
    • Your library account expires two weeks into the second consecutive quarter in which you are not enrolled. Contact Library Account Services if you have questions about your expiration date.

      Loans

      300 item limit, generally with a 12 week checkout period

      Track Due Dates & Renew Materials

      Your Library Account

      • Use your UW NetID to log in
      • You should regularly check your online account, as you are responsible for all items checked out to it and fines will accrue on overdue items
      • Most UW-owned materials can be renewed indefinitely unless/until they are requested by someone else or the account expires

      • On-leave status
        You must be in official on-leave status to maintain your library privileges while on leave
      Activation/Expiration of Online Services

      • Access is activated on the same schedule as your library account (see above)
      • Access will expire during the second consecutive quarter (excluding Summer) in which you are not enrolled:
